She clarified that while there is a connection to the previous film, audiences will need to uncover it themselves. Roopa shared that Gochara arose from her own contemplations on solitude and self-discovery during her solo travels, where she realized society's unease with women traveling alone. Through Gochara, she aims to explore the internal and external voyage of a woman journeying alone in India, shedding light on how societal perceptions affect independent female travelers. Roopa hopes that her film will empower women viewers and challenge outdated views held by men.
